At Great Chesterford C. of E. Primary Academy, we are committed to ensuring that Sports Premium Funding is used to:
- Increase the range of sporting activities on offer
- Increase the number of children participating in competitive sporting events
- Increase the number of sporting competitions entered
- Ensure that an inclusive sports curriculum is delivered, including competition
- Promote an active life style – to develop a love of sport and physical activity
- Increase the range of resources available at playtimes to promote physical activity
As a school, we strive to provide all pupils with a range of sporting opportunities within an active and competitive PE curriculum.
The school has been awarded The Sainsbury’s School Games Silver Mark 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2021-2022.
The school has been awarded The Sainsbury's School Games Gold Mark 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
Regular reports are made to the governing body with annual consultations to discuss allocation of all funds.
